Built by hand from cherry and ambrosia maple, this board features a 16" × 16" 3D playing surface, 2" squares, a substantial 18" overall footprint, reinforced splined corners, and a 3/8" raised base that gives the whole piece a floating appearance.
The 3D surface was hand-planed, every edge was broken by hand, and the entire board was finished in Osmo Polyx-Oil to bring out the natural character of the wood.
No plywood skin.
No mass-production shortcuts.
No flat, factory-made board.
Just solid hardwood, traditional woodworking, and a ridiculous amount of attention to detail.
